Well, I don’t quite know how they pulled it off, but somehow the folk at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall involved with this year’s Summer Sundae have managed to bless its festival-goers with the best event yet, in its sixth incarnation.

It’s not difficult to work out why the Summer Sundae is held in such high esteem by punters and media alike – for a start, it continues to be the most varied festival by a street mile, mixing folk, country, rock, pop, electronica, soul, blues, reggae, punk and practically any other genre you might care to throw in. Secondly, there is the cleanliness of the whole thing – no stinking unflushable toilets here, I even went towards the end of the third day into a portaloo and was astonished to find that it was utterly spotless!

Anyway I’ll come back to the general ramblings later on. In the meantime, let me tell you about this year’s acts:
